Ryedale DC rejects possible challenge on unitary plan

Ryedale DC will not explore the option of legally challenging the Government’s decision to replace North Yorkshire’s local authorities with one unitary council.

Last month the Government announced its intention to scrap North Yorkshire CC and the district and borough councils in Ryedale, Harrogate, Scarborough, Selby, Craven, Hambleton and Richmondshire and create a new council.
