Sector bids for key Covid inquiry role

Local government is bidding to have a key role in the looming coronavirus inquiry.

The Local Government Association (LGA), Welsh Local Government Association and Association of Directors of Adult Social Services are understood to have jointly applied for core participant status for the first module on national preparedness while the Association of Directors of Public Health is believed to have made a separate application.
