Sector concerns over fair funding timescale

The results of the fair funding review (FFR) might not be published until weeks before the provisional local government finance settlement at the end of 2019, it has emerged.

Whitehall’s draft work plan implies that neither councils nor the Local Government Association will be able to discover what the approach taken by the review will mean for the sector until summer or autumn 2019 at the earliest.
