Seeing glimpses of the future through the smoke

The Budget has come and gone and the future of social care remains as uncertain as it was before the chancellor stood at the despatch box.

An extra £650 million for social care is on the table.  Of course the devil is in the detail. Up to £410 million of this extra cash is for both adult and children’s social care, and is likely to be spread thin.
