Shapps wades into revaluation row

A former local government minister has waded into the ongoing row over business rates revaluation.

Speaking over the weekend, Grant Shapps said it ‘might be better not to revaluate’ business rates following calls from the chief executive of Sainsbury’s, Mike Coupe, for ‘fundamental reforms’ to the system.
