At a crucial time for our country we must realise the significant untapped potential of the UK’s cities, towns and villages, and devolving power and resources further and faster is the way to do it.

That is one of the key recommendations from this week’s Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) report; Enhancing Productivity in UK Core Cities: Connecting Local and Regional Growth. This Core Cities UK-commissioned report is a tool to inform Government policy as it pursues its aim to ‘level up’ the UK regions and end decades of relative underperformance.
