Solving the sticky issues in children's social care

When it comes to children’s services, it would be great if reality allowed the prescription of two social workers and two-family support workers, resulting in excellent support and outcomes for eight families - but this vastly oversimplifies matters. Delivering children’s services is hugely complex, and its associated challenges cannot be solved with the click of a button.

Children’s services face the most complex challenges of any organisation: pressures to improve outcomes despite challenging funding and rising demand, a record of poor Ofsted results against a backdrop of growing scrutiny, and mounting bureaucracy resulting in increased caseloads.
