The Government's £590m grant for social housing will provide 'genuinely affordable' homes

They say necessity is the mother of invention and it is driving a sea-change in the way we provide homes for those who cannot afford one.

There’s an urgent need to build 300,000 new homes if we are to solve the housing crisis. At the same time, the average person can expect to spend at least 10 times their salary on a mortgage or 40% of their pay on rent. Job security for people on low or medium incomes remains under pressure due to economic uncertainty.
