The Household Support Fund is a vital source of funding for local authorities to help their residents with the costs of living. The Fund enables local authorities to design and deliver support that is tailored to the needs of their local communities. It has helped hundreds of thousands of households across the Sigoma membership, whether that be through ‘warm welcome’ community venues in Derby, a School Food Grant offering more children free healthy snacks, breakfast clubs and subsidised meals to vulnerable children in Blackburn with Darwen, or foodbank provision in Kirklees and support for low-income households with food in Southampton.
