The little matter of Brexit

As I come to the end of my tenure as president of the Society of County Treasurers I’d want to reflect on the past year.

It started with the announce-ment of the localisation of business rates. Then, as now, this could be a great opportunity to influence our economic prosperity and alleviate some of the pressure on services. But before we began this work, we had to deal with the Autumn Statement and the provisional settlement.
