The pressure on district finances is as real as other authorities

Autumn Budget changes, numerous consultations affecting local government finances and the secretary of state is minded to approve a number of unitary authorities. So where does all this leave district council finances and services?

While I appreciate that county council adult and children’s social care services face serious challenges, working in a respectful and equal partnership with districts and other partners in a system which eliminates waste can help deliver a better customer experience as well as save money.
