Tower Hamlets loses legal battle

A High Court judge has thrown out a second attempt by Tower Hamlets LBC to fight government moves to intervene at the beleaguered London borough.

Following a hearing on November 14, Judge Goss turned down the council’s application for a judicial review into the decision by the communities secretary Eric Pickles to send in inspectors PricewaterhouseCoopers.
