Union brands protective promise 'too little too late'

Trade union Unite has branded the Government’s promise that social care workers would have full protective equipment in a week as ‘too little too late’.

The union said workers were reporting that private sector employers were unable to supply basic personal protection equipment (PPE) such as gloves, aprons, masks and hand sanitiser - vital during the coronavirus crisis.
