The recent District Councils’ Network conference saw more than 250 delegates debate how to turn the Prime Minister’s vision about Britain being a global catalyst into a reality, with our district councils being the local catalyst in towns and cities across our country.

With an eye on the devolution White Paper, looking forward to 2066 rather than being dragged back to 1066 was the watchword with a recognition that our district councils are the building blocks that describe the functional economic geographies of our land.
