£25m scheme to protect rough sleepers launched

Councils have been tasked with accommodating and vaccinating people sleeping rough in response to the surge in COVID-19 infection rates.

Council chief executives in England have today received a letter from rough sleeping minister Eddie Hughes detailing out their role in finding appropriate accommodation and boosting vaccination rates, which will be supported by a £25m funding package.
