Local councils netted £11bn in private sector funding last year with the help of 4ps, according to the body's annual report. Its annual report for 2007/08 found councils had obtained £11bn in funding for housing, schools, streetlighting, transport and waste management. Executive director, Chris Wilson, said: ‘We are playing a key role in helping local authorities deliver improved services more efficiently. ‘Local authorities are realising the benefits of partnership working.'
