Many over-60s 'fail to connect'

New research shows half of those aged over 60 have not had contact with their local councillor.

New research shows half of those aged over 60 have not had contact with their local councillor.

But the survey, by TNS, for Age UK, discovered when the elderly were in contact with councillors, they were positive of the experience. Charity director of Age UK, Michelle Mitchell, said: ‘Public transport and local services make a huge difference in later life.'
