It is a privilege to be the president of the Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS). The sector needs strong leadership and I am pleased to have the opportunity to give voice to some of the issues facing children and young people.

I want to expand on two challenges and opportunities facing the sector which are a concern for directors of children’s services and also for our partners and local communities. There are opportunities which, if we make the most of them, could result in better outcomes for the most disadvantaged in our communities.
