'Alarming' rise in child poverty in North East

Research has uncovered an ‘alarming’ increase in child poverty in North East England.

The top 10 local authority areas that experienced the greatest increase in child poverty between 2014/15 and 2019/20 were all located in the North East, according to figures collected for the End Child Poverty Coalition by Loughborough University.
