BBC programme on adult social care is 'not a hatchet job'

Somerset CC’s adult services director has revealed his reasoning behind allowing Panorama to follow people making their way through the system.

Writing for The MJ, Stephen Chandler said of the two Crisis in Care episodes due to air next week: ‘This wasn’t some kind of undercover hatchet job.

'This was something we as a council and me as a director of adult social services signed up for, open-eyed and well aware of the potential pitfalls and lack of editorial control.’
