Concerns over conditions inside some asylum accommodation intensified this week, after the death of an asylum seeker onboard the controversial Bibby Stockholm barge.
As the suspected suicide on the Bibby Stockholm was confirmed on 12 December, the local government sector continued to challenge conditions inside some asylum contingency hotels run by the Home Office.
