Basildon fears over influx of London homeless

Basildon BC councillors have been reassured that London boroughs will not disown their homeless residents when they are placed there.

A meeting of the Essex council to discuss its homelessness and rough sleeping prevention strategy was dominated by concerns over London boroughs moving their homeless residents into Basildon and the borough being left to shoulder the financial responsibility.
