Bids to open for £100m leisure fund

Sport England has finally launched the £100m biddable fund to support English councils with outsourced public leisure centre provision.

Well-placed Local Government Association sources said the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) had admitted the fund was not large enough and about £400m may be needed.
