Brexit ‘must work for councils’

Prime minister Theresa May’s Brexit negotiations must secure beneficial access to the European Union’s key markets or local authorities could suffer, experts have warned.

A Centre for Cities report this week revealed that the EU is the largest export market for 61 out of 62 British cities.

Only Hull exports more goods to another market – the US.
