Brum plans for new senior structure

Birmingham City Council has agreed a plans for a new structure that will split the senior management team into ‘council core’ directors and delivery managing directors.

Under the existing structure, there are nine senior management posts reporting into the chief executive – a post currently held by interim Chris Naylor.The innovative new 10-post model of leaders, devised by Mr Naylor, would create a ‘council core’ with policy and performance responsibilities including the chief executive, a director of city management, and a director of partnership, participation and equality.
