COVID volatility hits LGPS value

The market value of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) plummeted by £15bn in the last financial year.

According to the latest figures published by the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the LGPS was valued at £272.4bn at the end of March 2020, a decrease of £14.8bn or 5.1%.
