CQC issues verdicts in pilot care assessments

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has completed assessments of adult social care at five councils under its pilot scheme.

The watchdog found Birmingham City Council, Lincolnshire CC, North Lincolnshire Council and Suffolk CC were ‘ensuring people have access to a good standard of adult social care and support’, while Nottingham City Council ‘requires improvement’ to do so.
