Call for councils to strengthen their involvement with the Armed Forces Covenant

Leader of Warwickshire CC Izzie Seccombe has outlined a number of ways to strengthen the role of local government can play in strengthening the Armed Forces Covenant .

She told a  plenary session on the covenant at the LGA conference in Bournemouth that having a strong buy-in from members and senior managers in local areas to support  veterans and their families  is crucial, alongside strong partnerships at strategic and operational level.
