Care workers gained autonomy in pandemic

Care workers benefited from extra ‘autonomy’ from commissioners during the COVID-19 lockdown, MPs heard today.

Care England chief executive Professor Martin Green said workers ‘got a lot more autonomy’ with ‘no-one in commissioning saying you can’t do this’ as he gave evidence to the Health and Social Care Committee.
