Chiefs hit back at 'rich list'

Chief executives have hit back at claims from the Taxpayers’ Alliance pressure group that more local authority staff are being paid six-figure salaries.

The alliance’s so-called town hall rich list said there were at least 2,454 council employees who received total remuneration in excess of £100,000 in 2017/18, the highest number since 2013/14.
