Controversial Stoke budget rejected in council vote

Councillors in Stoke are deadlocked over a controversial budget just a week ahead of the national deadline.

A split in Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s ruling coalition of Conservative and independents led to the proposed budget being rejected in a vote last week.
