Council pays out damages over 'vendetta' claim

North Northamptonshire Council will pay ‘substantial’ damages to a former publican who claims he was the victim of a ‘vendetta’.

The council has agreed a settlement with Geoffrey Monks reportedly amounting to around £4m alongside a public apology in open court following 20 years of legal disputes with now-defunct East Northamptonshire DC.
