Council pension funds rebel at Ryanair meeting

The Local Authority Pension Fund Forum (LAPFF) has joined a shareholder rebellion against the re-election of budget airline Ryanair’s chairman.

David Bonderman’s re-election was secured by 70.5% of shareholders, but almost 30% voted to block the move at Ryanair’s annual meeting near Dublin today after a year in which the company has been buffeted by pilot strikes that have grounded hundreds of flights.
