Council staff vote for industrial action

Staff at East Dunbartonshire Council have voted overwhelmingly for industrial action over planned changes to the workforce’s terms and conditions.

Members of Unite, one of local government’s biggest trade unions, voted 91.7% in favour of industrial action in a ballot with a 59% turnout.
