Councils handed deadline for Afghan resettlement offers

Ministers have asked every council in the UK to come forward with offers of support for the Afghan resettlement scheme within 10 days.

In a letter to councils home secretary Priti Patel and communities secretary Robert Jenrick said they ‘expect to see many more firm offers of support coming forward at pace’ as they announced further funding earlier this week.
