Councils left in dark over youth offending budgets

Funding uncertainty is undermining councils’ efforts to tackle knife crime and County Lines drug dealing, the Local Government Association (LGA) has said.

Councils remain in the dark over how much money they will receive from the Ministry of Justice to fund youth offending teams two months after the start of the financial year.
