Local government minister Kemi Badenoch has questioned the reasoning behind some authorities’ reorganisation bids.
Speaking at a Local Government Association conference today, Ms Badenoch said in some cases ‘I can tell they are doing it because they have run out of ideas’ rather than because of the benefits for residents.
