Councils should review ‘excessive’ pensions contributions to help ease the sector’s financial pressures, new analysis has found.
Aggregate funding levels for the 87 funds in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) in England and Wales stood at 101% at the end of 2023, according to the latest research by pensions advisor Isio.
