Councils warn of 'trauma' for evicted refugees

Council leaders have warned of heaping more ‘trauma’ onto Afghan refugees by evicting them from hotels with nowhere else to stay.

A surge in homeless refugees is expected from August following the Government’s announcement that any of the 8,000 Afghan evacuees remaining in hotels who refuse offers of accommodation will be evicted.
