The levelling up department has been blasted for failing to deliver its remit by a senior sector figure.
Vice-chair of the Special Interest Group of Municipal Authorities, Graham Chapman, told Parliament that the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) had actively designed local government finance settlements that have exacerbated the gap between the haves and have-nots since 2010.
