Directors dismiss 'recruiting sergeants' claim

Children’s services directors have dismissed as ‘wholly inappropriate’ MPs’ claims that councils are acting as inadvertent ‘recruiting sergeants’ for drugs gangs.

A Parliamentary inquiry into so-called county lines drugs gangs has warned that young people in care are being put at risk when they are sent to homes hundreds of miles from where they live.
