Robert Jenrick has told The MJ his department ‘stands ready’ to guide councils through Brexit amid a review of the sector’s readiness for no-deal.
In an interview, the communities secretary said he thought the sector’s preparedness had ‘improved very significantly’ since the department had ‘escalated and intensified’ its efforts and asked councils to do the same on being appointed six weeks ago.
