The Home Office’s plans to order all regions of England, Scotland and Wales to take a share of asylum seekers have been hit by delays.
Ministers had hoped the new system of ‘full dispersal’ would help reduce the number of asylum seekers currently living in the likes of hotels by moving them to ‘less expensive and more suitable dispersed accommodation’.
