EXCLUSIVE: MHCLG to assess Brexit preparations

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) will use the General Election period to assess how it prepared for a slated October Brexit.

After the EU agreed to accept the UK’s request for a flextension until January 31, the Government’s plan to deal with a no-deal scenario - Operation Yellowhammer – was stood down, its Brexit public information campaign was paused and reporting arrangements will now be relaxed.
