Economic value of social care tends to slip under the radar

Social care is an emotive service. For those that require care, or their relatives, it will be a service close to their heart. For councillors, officers, and staff working tirelessly to deliver this life-changing service, it is what being in public service is all about.

Yet what tends to slip under the radar in many areas is the economic value of adult social care, both to local economies and society.
