The Local Government Association has proposed to establish a skills and employment working group as it seeks to influence national politicians ahead of the election.

It wants to bring together local government partner associations, councils and devolved authorities in a time-limited officer working group to persuade the political parties to back a ‘devolved and localised approach'.
