Funding cuts after councils remove cycling schemes

Councils are facing cuts to Government funding after removing cycling schemes.

In a letter to local authorities, transport minister Chris Heaton-Harris warned against ‘watering down’ active travel schemes designed to encourage people to switch from cars to cycling or walking.
