Future Forum North: 'Get a grip on mysterious DCS role'

Local authority bosses should get a grip on the ‘mysterious’ director of children’s services [DCS] role, Wakefield City Council’s chief executive has urged.

Speaking at The MJ’s Future Forum North event today, Merran McRae, who is also children’s services spokeswoman for the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives, told her colleagues not to wait for someone like Ofsted to tell them their council has got a problem.
