Legislation aimed at preventing councils from launching their own boycotts has been introduced to Parliament.
Local government secretary Michael Gove said the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill would crack down on local authorities ‘pursuing their own foreign policy agenda’.
