Government denies Leicester takeover plans

The Government has denied it has any plans to take control of Leicester City Council amid claims it failed to address labour abuse.

A Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) spokeswoman said there were ‘currently no plans to take control’ of the council.
